Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Invesco, Cerberus and Duff and Phelps are hiring

Duff and Phelps LLC is looking to hire a M&A managing director. The hire will work on a variety of transactions in all stages, from initial client pitches to transaction closings. Also, he or she will communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience at a middle market, reputable boutique or regional investment bank serving the middle market with demonstrable M&A execution experience within the consumer sector; also, he or she should have a bachelor’s, master’s or MBA degree. The position is in New York City.

Invesco is on the hunt for a compliance manager of private equity and alternative investments. The hire will design, implement and monitor programs, policies and practices for compliance with regulatory and policy requirements by the relevant business areas. Also, he or she will partner with the CCO to periodically revise the program considering changes in the needs of the organization, including the broader IPM platform, and in the law and policies and procedures surrounding RIAs and alternatives firms. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of financial services industry experience required with three years of direct investment adviser compliance experience. Also, he or she should have compliance experience with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940; experience with the regulatory environment (SEC, CFTC/NFA, FINRA, and AIFMD regimes); and a broad knowledge of federal securities laws and regulations. The position is in New York City.

Cerberus Capital Management is searching for a financial due diligence associate. The hire will spearhead the compilation and presentation of the quality of earnings analysis for potential acquisition targets as well as assisting the investment team in evaluating the impact of the analysis on their model. Also, he or she will evaluate the debt structure and identify “debt-like items” of potential acquisition targets, whether or not recorded on the company’s balance sheet. Candidates should have experience in M&A transactions with a focus on financial due diligence; modeling skills are a plus. Also, he or she should have a BA or BS with an excellent academic record. The position is based in New York City.

BBRC Private Equity is seeking an associate. The hire’s primary responsibilities will include conducting research and assisting in the review and analysis of portfolio companies as well as the evaluation of potential investment and follow-on strategic projects. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of investment banking or accounting firm experience at a top institution; relevant industry experience specific to the consumer and retail industry; and a BA/BS from highly competitive college or university with a high GPA. The position is in New York City.
