The hire will assume responsibilities for existing and going forward investments including diligence, detailed assessments, negotiating terms and closing on funding requirements. Also, he or she will lead sourcing, equity transaction activities, investment management activities and leverage and share expertise to the internal medical devices stakeholders and enterprise partners, as needed. Candidates should have a minimum of eight years of managerial/leadership career experience. They should have at least five years as an investor with experience in corporate venture, private equity, venture capital and/or business development. Healthcare technology industry experience is required. Other required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field and an advanced business degree. The position is in South San Francisco, California.

Vanterra Capital is seeking a vice president for its venture growth fund. The hire will lead due diligence and executing investments, primarily in the consumer and health & wellness space, with additional transactions across various other industries; and create investment presentations and transactions memos regarding new investment opportunities. Also, he or she will monitor and evaluate ongoing performance of portfolio company investments; and actively assist portfolio companies through value-add operational initiatives. Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree from a top-tier university and have third to six years of operational experience or experience within private equity or consulting. The position is in New York.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board is seeking a direct private equity associate. The hire will conduct research and analyze potential investment opportunities; stay abreast of relevant developments in the company’s targeted areas/sectors of investment; and build financial models to assist in investment evaluation, structuring and financing. Also, he or she will actively participate in the investment process; and develop relationships with management teams as part of monitoring portfolio companies. Candidates should have three to four years of related work experience, a passion for investing and a curiosity for learning about new business models, industries and sectors. The position is in San Francisco.

Webster Equity Partners is looking to hire a private equity associate. Duties include evaluating new investments; preparing investment memos, financial models, financial projections and valuations; conducting due diligence on prospective investment opportunities; assisting in coordination and management of third-party due diligence; and monitoring existing investments. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and two or more years of professional work experience in investment banking or management consulting. The position is in the Greater Chicago area.
