Lincoln Road Global Management is looking to fill two positions—a director of business development and a vice president for its investment team. For the director position, the hire will identify and originate new investment opportunities. Duties include initiating and leveraging an active dialog with owner/executive contacts at target companies identified as attractive acquisition candidates and/or influential referral sources. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree and three to five years in the sales, business development or similar role. And, for the vice president role, the hire will source and screen private equity investments; conduct market research and lead business and industry diligence for prospective investments; and develop investment memorandum and materials to present directly to investment committee. Candidates should have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree from a top-tier university; and at least two years of investment banking and three to five plus years of private equity investing experience. Macquarie Group is on the hunt for a vice president in its Latin America energy principal investments team. The hire will be responsible for leading the execution of the transactions through the full life-cycle: from initial analysis, presentation to investment/risk committees, overseeing the financial modeling, due-diligence, structuring (financial, tax, level), negotiation of documentation, financing and execution. Candidates should have fluency in English and Spanish; a master’s degree and prior experience in renewables energy in Latin America are requirements for this role. Portuguese is an added plus but not necessary. The position is in New York City.
United Nations Secretariat is seeking an investment officer for its real assets team. The hire will assist the team head to manage and invest the assets of the fund in private markets (infrastructure, timber, agriculture and commodities). Also, he or she will balance long-term strategic goals with short-term performance objectives to outperform return benchmarks; and monitor the various portfolio holdings and conducts appropriate investment analysis at the direction of the team head. Candidates should have an advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent degree) in business administration (MBA), finance, economics or a related field. For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable. Applicants should also have a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience and a proven track record in institutional equity investment analysis. The position is in New York.
Brookfield Asset Management is seeking a compliance associate. The hire will be responsible for assisting in the execution and administration of BAM’s regulatory compliance program, which is focused on registered investment advisory and broker dealer activities. Candidates should have five plus years of relevant asset management regulatory compliance support/paralegal experience. Experience in assisting the execution and administration of a regulatory compliance program, including facilitation of the monitoring of compliance with policies, procedures and protocols applicable to RIAs, registered broker-dealers and private funds, is a plus. The position is in New York City.
Cerberus Capital Management is looking to hire an associate for the sales operations team, which supports investor relations. Duties include creating fundraising materials in a variety of mediums; and creating analytical material related to fundraising efforts across a variety of mediums. Also, he or she will review extensive data and distill into concise and relevant points in a user-friendly format; and receive, coordinate and respond to investor requests for information as part of the fundraising process. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from a top academic institution and from two to four years’ experience supporting fundraising efforts for private equity, real estate and/or hedge fund strategies. The position is in New York City.
