Candidates should have three to six years of operational experience or experience within private equity or consulting; specific experience within the consumer vertical is preferred. Duties include building relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clients and participating in end-to-end transaction execution. Candidates should have at least two years of investment banking or similar experience; an undergraduate degree with academic distinction (MBA is not required, but viewed favorably); and advanced knowledge of accounting and finance. The position is in Los Angeles.
Baird Capital is searching for a venture capital associate for its healthcare team. The hire will participate in and support the investment process from opportunity identification through due diligence and deal closing; and lead and support initial screen of new investment opportunities. Also, he or she will build and maintain detailed company financial models, sourcing and pipeline tracker and proprietary firm databases; and prepare investment presentations and memos for both internal and external audiences. Candidates should have an accomplished track record of at least two to three years in a private equity/venture capital or investment banking analyst role; experience or background in healthcare is strongly preferred. The position is in Chicago.
