The hire will aid in the origination, due diligence, credit underwriting, execution and portfolio monitoring of private debt investments. Candidates should have a minimum of three to five years in leveraged finance, private debt and/or related transactional experience. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field is preferred as is an MBA or CFA. The position is in Whippany, New Jersey.
Neuberger Berman is seeking a senior associate. The hire will conduct due diligence alongside the firm’s private equity partner on fund investments including industry and company research; and performing in-depth valuation analysis of private companies and assessing valuation against public company comps. Also, he or she will regularly meet with partners of private equity firms and corporate executives; and help portfolio companies develop their investor communication strategy to effectively transition to being public. Candidates should have four plus years of experience in related field (private equity and/or investment banking). An MBA is preferred. The position is in New York City.
Ironwood Capital is looking to hire a private equity associate. The hire will review new deal opportunities and prepare screening memos and financial models as appropriate; and participate in management meetings and presentations for new investment opportunities. Also, he or she will participate in diligence efforts to determine whether or not to issue a term sheet and present findings and recommendations to the investment professionals. Candidates should have two to five years of experience in investment banking, private equity, mezzanine or commercial lending; and excellent academic credentials. An MBA is not required. The hire will identify, evaluate and invest directly into operating companies; and perform company due diligence that includes industry research, calls with management teams, research analysts and other bidders (if any) and site tours. Also, he or she will prepare investment memoranda, generate detailed financial models and recommend investments to the investment committee; and will assist in the legal negotiation and closing process for new investments. Candidates should have a BS or BA; plus two to four years of work experience. Also, they should have a thorough knowledge of private equity markets and financial expertise. The position is in Boston.
