New York City Comptroller’s Office Bureau of Asset Management is seeking a public equity investment officer. Duties include working with the investment team and the systems’ consultants to identify, review and evaluate both prospective and current investment managers; documenting the investment manager due diligence process; constructing financial models and performing related analyses; and overseeing the funding of investment managers and the transition of assets. Candidates should have a graduate degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, finance, accounting or a closely related field, plus three or more years of experience in a financial services organization handling complex financial matters with considerable exposure to public equity funds, and asset management (i.e. private equity, public equity, hedge funds, etc.) or similar experience at a consulting firm/bank. New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment; however, city employees in certain titles who have worked for the city for two continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
ORIX Capital Partners is seeking a vice president. Duties include analyzing, evaluating and executing private equity investment opportunities at OCP, conducting due diligence and analytical work on potential investments; overseeing the building of complex financial models by the associates; and developing, conducting and coordinating financial analyses, reports and presentations to facilitate making investment and business decisions. Candidates should have the following credentials: bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; class of May 2020 MBA graduate from a top-tier university; four plus years of relevant work experience, including investment banking and prior private equity experience; and principal investment experience in private equity. GQR Global Markets is seeking an infrastructure private equity associate. Duties include preparing investment appraisal presentations; assisting in conducting asset due diligence; executing background analyses for investment theses; and assisting in identifying, hiring and managing external advisers. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with two plus years of experience in an investment banking analyst program with a focus on energy/infrastructure/oil & gas or two plus years of experience in credit or distressed securities analysis in a buy-side or a sell-side firm. The position is in New York City.
