The hire will manage business development, deal execution and a pipeline of opportunities for IPOs as well as direct listings and SPACs. In this highly visible and critical role, he or she will work cross-functionally across the NYSE and Intercontinental Exchange organizations, while externally building C-level relationships with private companies, investment banks, venture capital firms, private equity firms and other advisors. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree; advanced degree and/or industry certification is preferred. He or she should have six or more years’ experience in finance or sales. Experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital and/or familiarity with private equity is preferred. The position is in New York City.
Oaktree Capital is seeking a vice president of private debt. Duties include leading and managing all stages of the deal process across a variety of industries, including industry research and analysis, business, accounting and legal due diligence; and negotiating and structuring investment terms and financing commitments. Candidates should have six to eight years of investment experience with at least three to four years in mezzanine or direct lending strategies or funds. Also, he or she should have experience in private equity sponsor coverage. A bachelor’s degree from a top university or college is required. The position is in New York City.
S3 Ventures is on the hunt for a venture capital associate. The hire will diligence new investment opportunities, support deal execution and execute special projects for the firm’s portfolio companies. Candidates should have three to six years of total prior work experience; a minimum of two years of full-time work experience at an investment bank, venture capital firm, private equity firm, hedge fund or strategy consultancy; and additional years of work experience in one of the aforementioned roles, at a larger technology company, at a technology start-up, or in another type of operational role. He or she should have a college degree with a track record of academic and professional success; pre-MBA is heavily preferred. The position is in Austin.
Cerberus Capital Management is looking to hire a strategy and diligence associate. The hire will work on a variety of domestic and international deals related to strategic/commercial/operational due diligence and assist the firm’s operational private equity investment desk with evaluating potential acquisition targets. Also, he or she will spearhead the compilation and presentation of the due diligence analysis, as well as assisting the investment team in evaluating the impact of the analysis on their model. Candidates should have four to six plus years of overall work experience in M&A or M&A pre-deal service delivery at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, private equity firm, investment bank or a world-class organization. He or she should have a minimum of one-year post-MBA experience. The position is based in New York City.
