Private Equity Jobs of the Week: PIMCO, UBS, Found Foundation are hiring

PIMCO has an opening for a US private equity portfolio manager. This Senior Vice President-level position will focus on corporate private equity investment opportunities, primarily in the North American financial services and financial technology sectors. Duties include helping originate and lead due diligence execution, preparing detailed investment committee memos and presentations, overseeing junior professionals in the development of detailed financial and cash flow projection models, assisting with deal execution, managing key third-party relationships, and supporting asset management of fund investments. Seven to nine years of relevant investment banking, consulting and/or private equity experience required. The position is located in New York.

UBS is searching for a private equity/debt analyst. The hire will conduct research and analysis on private markets, communicate analysis in written reports, develop actionable investment views and themes within the context of a multi-asset class portfolio, and advance the research and investment framework via the development of quantitatively backed capital market assumptions for private equity, private debt, and private real assets. Candidates should have four years or more of relevant experience at a top-tier investment or consulting firm, with established knowledge of private markets. The position is located in New York.

Ford Foundation has an opening for an investment associate on its Mission Investments team, a “double bottom line” program with both financial and social return objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating financial and impact performance, as well as conducting industry reviews and supporting the creation of research on industry trends, regulatory changes and the investment landscape. The associate also will conduct research and participate in meetings on the intersection of impact investing and capital markets. Qualifications include an MBA or CFA plus five years’ experience in investment management and research or a related field (strategy consulting, investment banking). The position is located in New York.

Nuveen Alternative Advisors is seeking associates to join its private equity and junior capital platform. NAA participates in these markets through LP fund commitments and direct equity and junior debt investments. The hire will also be involved in the ongoing management of an existing portfolio of alternative investments, as well as third-party investment vehicles. Responsibilities include performing quantitative and qualitative analysis used in the underwriting of potential alternative investment opportunities, assisting in the preparation of internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations, and assisting with monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments. Candidates need capital markets structuring experience, preferably with a background in private equity, mezzanine finance, leveraged loans, or M&A. The position is located in Charlotte, NC, or New York City.

KPMG is looking to hire a manager, M&A services, for its KPMG Strategy practice. The successful candidate will lead working capital engagements including order to cash, procure to pay and supply chain or inventory optimization, as well as corporate improvement projects; act as the project manager and provide oversight of work teams; and help lead proposal development and other new business development activities by leveraging new and existing relationships with executives across corporate and private equity clients. A minimum of five years of experience in a client-facing discipline at a Big 4 firm, major strategy firm, or boutique with relevant focus is required. The position is located in Irvine, CA.
