Hyde Park Venture Partners is searching for a director of talent. The hire will design and manage a set of best practices for portfolio company organizational structure, hiring, people management and development practices. Also, he or she will work with portfolio companies from first investment, through scale and ultimately exit to enable their adoption and execution of best practices in organizational design and people management. Candidates should have eight to 12 years of startup or technology company people operations experience and leadership. Also required is existing residency or deep ties to Chicago.

Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) is searching for an intermediate investment professional. The hire is responsible for assisting in analyzing private equity and at times co-investment proposals for fund investment consideration, assisting the process to secure board approval and negotiating the partnership legal documents for the fund’s benefit. Candidates should have one year experience as a PSERS’ junior investment professional; or a bachelor’s degree and one year performing relevant non-traditional markets investment work; or five years performing relevant investment non-traditional markets work; or an equivalent combination of experience and training. The position is in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Cerberus Capital Management is on the hunt for a fundraising project management associate. The hire will interact closely with multiple business areas and stakeholders to coordinate and manage investor requests while developing a knowledge of Cerberus’ products and strategies to add value to the RFP/DDQ process. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and one to three years of experience at a private equity firm, hedge fund, placement agent, fund-of-funds, investment consultancy or investment bank. Also, he or she should have prior experience in completing DDQs and RFPs. The position is in New York City.

Morgan Stanley is seeking a private equity post-MBA associate. The role is a partner-track, generalist position which provides investment professionals with broad exposure to a variety of sectors. The hire is expected to evaluate new investment opportunities, lead transaction execution, develop capital structure and valuation views, monitor portfolio companies to maximize value and manage relationships with management teams and corporate and financial sponsor partners. The position will start in the summer of 2020. Candidates should have an MBA from a top-ranked business school or relevant degree; and at least two years of experience from a leading investment bank or management consulting firm and two years of investing experience from a private equity firm. The position is in New York City.

FirstMark is seeking an associate. The hire will engage in a broad range of activities that include supporting the firm’s investment process (sourcing, market research, analysis, etc.) while representing FirstMark at various industry events and within the startup ecosystem. Candidates should have two to four years of experience working at a VC, a tech company or in tech services, such as tech-focused investment banking or consulting. The position is in New York City.

Orchard Capital is looking to hire an investment analyst. The hire will guide investment research and due diligence of alternative managers, hedge funds, private equity funds, private credit funds, specialized vehicles, direct investments and other alternative assets. Also, he or she will integrate key partner research in alternatives and private assets to produce a cohesive research effort for advisors and work closely with the senior investment team and outside partners to manage the due diligence and research process for new ideas and products. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with a record of achievement. Economics, finance, business, mathematics, statistics, political science and other similar majors are preferred. Also required: two plus years of experience in an investment analyst position with experience in manager or fund research; and two plus years of experience in an investment or due diligence role for a financial services firm. The position is in the Greater Chicago area.
