SeedInvest is on the hunt for a principal to join its venture team. The hire will help grow and manage the sourcing team; generate leads for new investment opportunities with a particular focus around larger investment opportunities; and build and maintain relations with venture capital firms, angel groups and accelerators. Candidates should have a BA/BS degree from a top-tier institution and significant experience sourcing investment opportunities at a top-tier venture capital fund, growth equity fund, private equity fund or investment bank. The position is in New York City.

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a director of private equity performance improvement. The hire will specialize in providing private equity clients with operational due diligence, carve-out assessments and merger integration support. He or she will lead various operational due diligence and pre-acquisition assessments across multiple industries. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business, economics or finance and a minimum of five years of management level consulting experience. The position is in New York City.

Wellington Management is searching for a private equity vice president. The hire will develop broad relationships within the healthcare venture capital and crossover investor communities. Also, he or she will source, track and evaluate potential healthcare services/medtech investment opportunities; conduct in-depth due diligence of select deals; and develop investment recommendations. Candidates should have a minimum of seven to 10 years of relevant experience in a private markets investment role, preferably at a venture capital or private equity firm. The position is in Boston.

Book of the Month is looking for an acquisitions and venture capital associate. The hire will source, evaluate and execute potential acquisitions and investments in the firm’s business sectors; develop and implement strategic partnerships for Book of the Month; and serve as project manager for a range of new business initiatives. Candidates should have two to three years of experience at a venture capital fund, private equity fund or investment bank. He or she should have a knowledge of subscription ecommerce, content apps and creators and d2c brands. The position is in New York City.
