Silverton Partners is looking to hire a venture capital principal. The hire will help source, diligence, invest and assist the next cohort of market-leading startups as a key member of the investment team. The principal will report to the partners be involved in all aspects of the business. Candidates should have at least six years of work experience across the startup/tech ecosystem including two to four years of VC. Also, he or she should have a BS/BA degree or higher, with technical or engineering background preferred. A top MBA degree is preferred. Enlightenment Capital is on the hunt for two positions: a vice president and an associate. The hires will perform private debt/equity investment analysis, support portfolio analysis/monitoring, support transaction diligence, manage reporting requirements and help support other key aspects of the business. Candidates must have excellent finance, reading and writing skills; be highly proficient in excel/modeling; have experience managing transaction diligence and documentation; and be entrepreneurial and self-motivated. Also, they must have top-flight academic credentials and two to eight years of experience in private equity, private credit, or investment banking at a top-tier firm. An MBA not a requirement. BRS is looking to hire a private equity associate for its two to three year program. The hire will be a generalist across the consumer and retail sector. Duties include initial review of business opportunities and discussing relevant factors with the firm’s senior managers; industry and competitive dynamics research; constructing detailed, business unit-based financial models; drafting investment committee reports and materials; and working to evaluate strategic opportunities such as acquisitions, divestitures, or entering new market/verticals. The firm is seeking a pre- or post-MBA candidate with three plus years of investment banking experience in M&A, leveraged finance or consumer and retail groups; other consumer-related experience is a plus. Greenspring Associates is searching for an associate. Duties include assisting with the sourcing and evaluation of potential venture funds, expansion stage start-up and secondary investment opportunities and making recommendations to the partnership. Also, the hire will perform broad-scale industry research and analysis to learn about and understand industry landscapes within our focus areas and advising the broader investment team accordingly. Candidates should have three to five years working in venture capital, private equity, finance, engineering, start-up operations, consulting or similar industry preferred, but not necessary. He or she should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a true passion for the venture capital industry. The position is in Owings Mills, Maryland.

MPE Partners is seeking a private equity associate. The hire will evaluate investment opportunities; prepare financial models, analysis, and return recommendations for targeted opportunities; conduct detailed industry and sector analysis, including primary and secondary research; and identify potential “deal makers” and “deal breakers” for each transaction and identify/initiate mitigating actions. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree. The start date is summer 2020. The position is in Boston.

Vista Equity Partners is looking to hire an analyst. Duties include evaluating investment opportunities; analyzing complex data sets to identify crucial financial and business information; assisting in managing portfolio company reporting, oversight and operations; and helping raise investment capital. Candidates should have one to three years of experience within a professional services firm or industry including consulting, accounting, wealth management and trading. The position is in Chicago.

FrontLine Compliance is currently seeking private fund regulatory consultants with investment adviser regulatory compliance experience with an emphasis on institutional accounts and/or private funds, including private equity, venture capital and hedge funds. Additional experience with NFA/CFTC firms is a a plus. Experience as a former or current SEC and/or NFA examiner is preferred. Candidate must have the ability to work as a contractor and will ideally have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in private fund, SEC investment adviser compliance, with expertise in the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, and NFA/CFTC regulations for CPOs and CTAs. A bachelor’s degree is required; a certified regulatory compliance professional or equivalent certification is desired. Travel is required (less than 25 percent).
