Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Wellington, Blackstone and Rotunda are hiring

Wellington Management is searching for a private equity principal for its climate impact team. The hire will be responsible for helping develop Wellington’s sourcing network, in addition to building relationships directly with private companies that address climate change. Also, he or she will conduct in-depth due diligence of select deals, develop investment recommendations and monitor portfolio positions. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in a private markets investment role, preferably at a venture capital firm; and established industry relationships and a network to source deal flow in climate finance. The position is either in Boston or London.

Gen II is on the hunt for a director to manage private equity funds. The hire will direct the day-to-day accounting and fund administration for a large fund-of-funds sponsor and have extensive hands on involvement in reviewing work papers, investments, accruals, financial statements with footnotes and investor allocations. Candidates should have a bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or economics; and seven plus years of fund accounting experience in either a private equity fund, private equity fund administrator or another financial institution where the candidate has gained financial products knowledge. The position is in Stamford, Connecticut.

Rotunda Capital Partners is on the hunt for a vice president/senior associate. The hire will be involved in all aspects of the investment process including working on potential investments, add-on acquisitions, analysis of potential exit opportunities and the monitoring of current portfolio companies. Also, he or she will be involved in transaction due diligence, valuation analysis and the negotiating of contracts and other agreements. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree and/or an MBA from a top-tier institution with a superior academic performance record; and a minimum of four to seven years of experience at a middle-market investment bank, mezzanine lender or private equity firm. The position is based in Bethesda, Maryland.

Blackstone is seeking an investment analyst/associate for its strategic capital group. Associates are involved with the due diligence, evaluation, structuring and financing of transactions. Candidates should have two to three years’ experience in private equity or investment banking. The position is in New York City.
