Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Blackstone, Citi, Alaska Permanent Fund are hiring

Blackstone Group is in the market for a financial analyst, private equity finance (valuations). The core focus of the group is to evaluate, analyze and summarize valuation and performance results for Blackstone’s portfolio on a regular basis. The group is also responsible for forecasting financials, producing fund-level performance records and analytics, as well as preparing various LP and management reports and requests. Other responsibilities may include supporting the broader finance and investor relations teams on an ad hoc basis in dealing with clients and investors and in fulfilling management requests. A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or accounting, or one to three years of experience in a financial role, is required. The position is located in New York.

Citi is seeking a private equity finance analyst to support the credit underwriting teams in their principal task of valuing PE fund limited partners. Duties include financial statement analysis, ratings determination, and the drafting of borrowing base financial models. A key aspect of the role is to improve model functionality and performance. The career path of this position is expected to lead into a credit underwriting/transactor role. Two to three years in banking and finance is preferred. The position is located in New York.

First Republic has an opening for a private equity fund analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating private equity and select hedge fund managers, preparing investment memoranda for the investment committee, coordinating with operational compliance due diligence, monitoring existing fund managers on a quarterly bases, writing alternative investment strategy papers, and assisting with special projects. Qualifications include three to five years of experience in private equity fund investment. The position is located in either San Francisco or New York.

Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation is searching for an associate, private equity and special opportunities. APFC manages the $64 billion Alaska Permanent Fund, a sovereign endowment that currently manages $7.5 billion in assets and $11.5 billion in total commitments, including fund investments, co-investments and direct investments in private equity, venture capital and other alternatives. The fund seeks to add a junior investment professional. Responsibilities include preparing summaries and analyses of investment opportunities, assisting in the evaluation of prospective investment opportunities, monitoring current investments and fund commitments, conducting research on investment themes and developing quantitative models. State of Wisconsin Investment Board is looking to hire an investment analyst, private equity. The hire will collaborate with the portfolio manager and managing analysts to source, review and evaluate prospective fund and co-investment opportunities for the private equity portfolio. Activities include participating in discussions, assisting with due diligence, coordinating with operations and legal teams, managing the private markets database, and maintaining portfolio performance and quarterly returns with an overlay of benchmark statistics. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in private equity and/or co-investment. CAIA or CFA a plus. The position is located in Madison, Wisconsin.
