ALPHARETTA, GA — Proxima Therapeutics Inc., a developer and
marketer of site-specific cancer treatments, today announced the completion of a $17
million round of financing. The financing was lead by Domain Associates, a
Princeton-based venture capital management company with a focus on life sciences.

In addition to Domain, participants included Merrill Lynch Ventures, NeuroVentures Capital
and current investors New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Hillman Medical Ventures,
Catalyst Ventures and Lovett Miller & Company. The Venture Capital Sourcebook ranks
NEA and Domain as the two most active healthcare investors in 2000.

SAN JOSE, CA — Novell Inc., the leading provider
of Net services software, today announced the formation of Volera, Inc., a new operating
company targeting the emerging content networking market. Volera will integrate caching
and content management services, creating a new level of Internet intelligence that speeds
and manages the delivery of content, allowing companies to realize the full business
potential of the Internet. Nortel Networks and Accenture have signed definitive agreements
with Volera to take equity positions in the new company, with closing expected within the
next ninety days.

NEVEH-ILAN, ISRAEL — Talia Technology Ltd., which develops, manufactures and markets ophthalmic diagnostic instruments, today announced it has successfully closed an equity financing of $9 million. The financing consisted of three rounds over the past year. The first round was by a group of Israeli private investors who invested $1 million. The second round consisted of $4 million, by private investors from Europe, the US and the Far East who were advised by Connecticut Capital Markets, LLC (CCM) of Greenwich, CT. The financing was completed by an additional investment of $4 Million by TVM Techno Venture Management (Munich, Boston and San Francisco). The investment focus of TVM is on high-growth/high-potential information and communications technology and life science companies.
