IRVINE, CA TransDimension announced that it has received $13 million in series B financing, bringing the total equity investment in the company to $15.5 million. Shelter Capital Partners led the round, which also included Alcatel Ventures and Rolling Oaks Capital. The funding will be used to accelerate development and marketing of the company’s new USB “On The Go,” Bluetooth and seamless wireless connectivity products.

SAN JOSE, CA — WebPutty, creator of the first platform for the
rapid composition and dynamic execution of server-based web applications, today
announced that it has secured an additional $22.5 million in its third round of venture
capital financing. Bain Capital Ventures led the investment along with significant
participation from existing investor S.A.C. Capital Associates LLC, Seneca Capital, and
certain others. This round brings the total capital raised by WebPutty to approximately $30
million since inception.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — Solstice Capital LLC, a
company with offices in Boston and Tucson, AZ that manages a $22.75 million venture
capital fund, and Village Ventures Inc., will collaborate to
organize a seed and early-stage venture capital fund to invest at least $15 million in
companies in Arizona.

Harry George and Henry Newman, II, the principals in Solstice, will work with Village
Ventures to establish the fund. The Arizona fund is the tenth in the Village Ventures network
of early-stage venture capital funds.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Torrent Systems Inc., a leading provider of scalable solutions for data
warehousing and customer analytics, today announced a $12 million round of
financing led by 3i, the world’s leading venture capital company with almost
$18 billion in investments. Existing blue-chip venture capital investors North
Bridge Venture Partners, Oak Investment Partners, Venrock Associates, and
Intel Capital also participated in the financing. Proceeds of the funding will
be used to grow Torrent’s sales organization, develop marketing programs, and
pursue industry partnerships in order to expand the delivery of Torrent’s
solutions to global enterprises developing and managing large consumer
databases.

OTTAWA — Eftia OSS Solutions Inc., a leading provider of operational support
system (OSS) products for next-generation network and service providers, today announced that it has secured an additional
$20 million US in private equity funding.
Investments from Mellon Ventures II, L.P., Deloitte Consulting Ventures, a division of Deloitte Consulting L.P., Citizens
Capital Inc., and funds managed by a Canadian mutual fund company, bring the total venture investment in the company to over
US $75 million. These new investors join Eftia’s current list of venture capitalists — Apax Partners & Co. Ventures Ltd.,
Spectrum Equity Investors, Insight Capital Partners and Argo Global Capital, Inc. Completing this financing in a difficult
market environment with new venture capital suppliers indicates the strength of Eftia’s vision and demonstrates strong investor
confidence in the company and its products.

SAN DIEGO — Santarus Inc. today announced that it has completed a $33.2 million
private placement of its Series C preferred stock.
Funding from the financing will be used to further the development and commercialization of the Company’s proprietary drug
compounds.
New investors included Domain Associates, J.P. Morgan Partners and Advent Venture Partners. Also participating in the
financing were existing Santarus investors including St. Paul Venture Capital, Windamere Capital Ventures, Fog City Fund,
and Windamere LLC as well as other private investors.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Motorola Inc.
announced today that it has made an equity investment in WatchPoint Media, Inc., an
innovator of interactive video authoring tools and client technology. The Motorola
investment, led by Motorola Ventures, the strategic venture capital arm of the global
communications company, is the first part of a larger round of investment WatchPoint will
announce later in February 2001.

MIAMI — Peoria Crossings, a 500,000-square-foot
power center under construction in Phoenix, has received $45 million in joint venture
capital financing arranged by Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P., the nation’s leading
commercial mortgage banking firm.

Howard Taft and Charles Anderson of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler’s Miami office negotiated
the joint venture partnership for the project.

PHOENIX — Dimensional Visions Inc.
creator of Highly Advanced Lenticular Optics — HALO(TM) graphics, a multi-dimensional
marketing visual communication solution, announced today that it has consummated a
$20 million equity line through Swartz Private Equity, LLC for long term growth funding. The
funding is subject to a detailed Agreement with Swartz Private Equity, LLC that is part of a
Form SB-2 Registration Statement that will be filed with the SEC on or before March 9,
2001.
