Proskauer’s Names Ruback Partner to Expand Global Finance and Transactional Capabilities.

Proskauer’s named Gregory D. Ruback a partner in the New York office. Ruback’s addition expands the firm’s global finance and transactional capabilitie. He was previously a partner at Mayer Brown.

Gregory D. Ruback, a corporate lawyer with significant experience in leveraged finance, has joined Proskauer’s New York office as a Partner, further expanding the firm’s global finance and transactional capabilities.

Formerly a partner at Mayer Brown, Mr. Ruback has an extensive background representing financial institutions and agents in a broad range of matters, including secured and unsecured credit facilities of all types, public and private debt offerings, project finance, workouts and restructurings, and general corporate issues and transactions. He also brings considerable experience in handling transactions involving loan parties and collateral located in global jurisdictions, including Europe, Latin America and Asia. Mr. Ruback received his B.S. from Babson College and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

Mr. Ruback’s move to Proskauer continues the growth of the firm’s Corporate Department, particularly its transactional practice. In April, Partner Ron Franklin, who has deep experience in leveraged finance matters, also joined Proskauer from Mayer Brown. And in June, Senior Counsel Daniel Ganitsky joined the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Latin America groups from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
