Prospect Partners, a private equity firm focused on the smaller lower-middle market, has promoted Brett Holcomb and Brad O’Dell to principal. The appointments are effective immediately. Both Holcomb and O’Dell came on board as vice presidents in 2009.

Chicago, Ill.— January 17, 2017: Prospect Partners, LLC, a leading private equity firm investing in smaller lower-middle-market companies, today announced the promotions of Brett Holcomb and Brad O’Dell to Principal, effective immediately. Holcomb and O’Dell both joined Prospect Partners as Vice Presidents in 2009. They have played leading roles in analyzing and developing investment opportunities, structuring deals, overseeing due diligence, closing transactions, and managing portfolio companies that occupy widely diverse niche industries.

Prior to Prospect Partners, Holcomb was an Associate in the Chicago office of the middle-market private equity firm American Capital, Ltd. Before that, he was an Analyst in the Chicago office of the investment banking firm Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. Holcomb earned a B.A. with concentrations in Economics and International Studies from Kenyon College, and received an M.B.A., with distinction, from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Previously, O’Dell was a Vice President at Silver Oak Services Partners, an Evanston, Ill.-based lowermiddle-market private equity firm, where he was actively involved in all aspects of the firm’s investment process. Earlier, he worked as an Associate of the private equity investment firm Willis Stein & Partners in Chicago. He also worked as an Analyst at the investment banking firm Harris Williams & Co. in Richmond, Va. O’Dell received a B.S.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Economics from the University of Richmond. He holds an M.B.A from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
