Resnick & Giorgio Join Arsenal

Larry Resnick and Anthony Giorgio have joined Arsenal Capital Partners as operating directors. Resnick previously was a corporate M&A executive with Triumph Group, and will focus on the aerospace and defense industries. Giorgio worked in corporate development for SYMYX Technologies and International Specialties Products, and will focus on the specialty chemicals and materials sectors.

Arsenal Capital Partners, a leading New York-based private equity firm that invests in middle-market specialty industrial, healthcare and financial services companies, today announced that it has named two new Operating Directors to deepen the firm's knowledge and experience in two of its key investment sectors.  Larry Resnick, an experienced corporate M&A executive at Triumph Group will join Arsenal to enhance its investment sourcing and operating skills in the aerospace and defense industry.  Anthony Giorgio, a corporate development executive at SYMYX Technologies and International Specialties Products Inc., will further strengthen Arsenal's investment sourcing and execution capabilities in the specialty chemicals and materials sector.

Mr. Resnick joins Arsenal after a more than 10-year career with Triumph Group, Inc. (NYSE: TGI) where he held a series of senior executive positions, most recently as Senior Vice President, Operations and including leading all M&A activities for the company since 2000.  From 1984 to 1996 he was with Teleflex, Inc. and before that he served with Johnson & Johnson and Peat, Marwick & Mitchell.  He received his BS degree from Penn State University in 1979.

 

Mr. Giorgio, who has experience identifying, analyzing and acquiring chemical businesses, joins Arsenal after serving most recently as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for SYMYX Technologies (NASDAQ: SMMX).  Prior to that, he was a senior executive with International Specialty Products Inc., one of the world's premier specialty chemicals companies.  He also has mergers & acquisition and investment banking experience with Merrill Lynch & Co. and TM Capital Corp.  A 1996 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Chemical Engineering, Mr. Giorgio received his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2003.

The appointments of Messrs. Resnick and Giorgio increase to 15 the number of Arsenal's Operating Partners and Operating Directors.  These individuals provide a wealth of industry and operating experience and backgrounds with some of the world's leading companies such as AlliedSignal/Honeywell International; IBM; Parker Hannifin; Invensys; Northrup Grumman; and W.R. Grace.
