Rockefeller Capital Management has named John S. Sheldon as a managing director in its strategic advisory business. Sheldon’s career includes roles at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Lazard.
Rockefeller Capital Management Strengthens Strategic Advisory Services with John S. Sheldon
Financial advisory firm Rockefeller Capital Management (“Rockefeller” or the “Firm”) today announced the appointment of industry veteran John S. Sheldon as a Managing Director in its Strategic Advisory business, which serves wealthy individuals, families, institutions and corporations.

He joins Strategic Advisory Services in a strong year for the group, which has advised Bombardier in the pending sale of its transportation business, Borg Warner in its acquisition of Delphi Technologies and Empower Retirement in its acquisition of Personal Capital, as well as advice and capital raises for a select group of high growth companies.

Over his career, Sheldon has worked in senior-client facing roles at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Lazard among other firms. He has worked closely with many leading public companies and has extensive experience working with privately owned and closely held firms on a full range of Strategic Advisory matters. In addition, Sheldon has numerous internationally based client relationships and has deep experience with Cross Border Transactions. Sheldon earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Bennington College.
