Roger Hoit Joins Moelis & Co.

Roger Hoit has joined Moelis & Co., as a managing director. He previously was a managing directors in Morgan Stanley’s global financial sponsors group.

Moelis & Company announced today that Roger Hoit has joined the firm as a Managing Director based in New York. Mr. Hoit, who has over 20 years of investment banking experience, will focus on providing advisory services to financial sponsors, enhancing the firm’s coverage of this critical client base.

Mr. Hoit was previously a Managing Director in the Global Financial Sponsors Group at Morgan Stanley where he built a leading franchise advising financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on strategic transactions and investment opportunities. In this role, he originated and executed the full spectrum of corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, equity and debt financings and derivative transactions. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2000, Mr. Hoit was a Managing Director at SG Cowen, a division of Société Générale, and previously a Managing Director and Partner at Gleacher & Co. Mr. Hoit began his career at PaineWebber Incorporated.
