Mukherjee named partner at Periscope Equity

S. Brian Mukherjee has joined Periscope Equity LLC as a partner. Mukherjee has previously served as an executive advisor to the firm since its formation.

Periscope Equity LLC (“Periscope”), a Chicago-based private equity firm that invests in lower middle market technology-enabled business services companies, announced today that S. Brian Mukherjee has joined the firm as a Partner. Mr. Mukherjee previously served as an Executive Advisor to the firm since its formation. In this new role, Mr. Mukherjee will focus on due diligence, operational transformations and strategic growth initiatives of portfolio companies and oversee the Periscope Operating Partners.

Mr. Mukherjee is a seasoned technology executive and investor, with a strong track record of successful turnarounds, transformations, enterprise growth and exits at Public and Private companies. Before joining Periscope, Mr. Mukherjee spent over a decade in CEO or Division Head roles at companies in the Internet, Mobile, Digital Media, Software and Services sectors, with operations in the US, Europe and Asia. Most recently, Mr. Mukherjee was the CEO and Executive Director of RhythmOne plc (LSE AIM: RTHM), a leading global advertising technology Company. During his tenure, the Company achieved benchmark highs in revenue, profitability and stock performance and went through a fundamental transformation of its product, operational and strategic focus to align with seismic changes in the Industry. Before RhythmOne, Mr. Mukherjee was the President and CEO of Prime Visibility Media Group, Inc. (PVMG), where he worked closely with Steven Jarmel, Founder and Partner of Periscope Equity, to restructure and rapidly grow the Company before its sale to RhythmOne. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mukherjee held Executive, Staff and Line Management positions at several technology-enabled business services companies, where he played pivotal roles in building high performance teams, transforming product offerings, leading mergers and acquisitions, and driving revenue and profitability growth.

Brian holds an MBA (Honors) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and MS (Honors) and BE (Honors) degrees in Engineering from Iowa State University and the University of Bombay, respectively. He currently advises the Boards of Directors of RhythmOne, plc; and Periscope portfolio companies: Inflexxion, Inc., CISCOR, Inc. and MicroMass Communications, Inc..
