Schroeder Joins Baird Capital Partners

David Schroeder has joined Baird Capital Partners as an operating partner. He will be based in Milwaukee. In addition to his role at Baird, Schroeder is also a principal of Corvus Advisors where he provides executive level support in business planning and measurement, change management and strategy formulation. Baird Capital Partners is the buyout fund of Baird Private Equity.

MILWAUKEE, July 26, 2012 – Baird Capital Partners, the U.S.-based buyout fund of Baird Private Equity, announced today that David Schroeder has joined as an Operating Partner. Schroeder will work with Baird Capital Partners to source, evaluate and oversee investment opportunities in the manufacturing sector, further strengthening its operationally oriented approach to investing in well-positioned and successful companies. Schroeder will be based in Baird Capital Partners’ Milwaukee office.

In addition to this role with Baird Capital Partners, Schroeder is Principal of Corvus Advisors, LLC in Mequon, Wis., providing executive level support in business planning and measurement, change management and strategy formulation. His extensive previous experience includes roles as President and CEO of Intermatic, Inc. in Spring Grove Ill., Group Vice President and then Senior Vice President and CFO of Brady Corp. in Milwaukee, Wis. and President and CEO of Uniroyal Plastics Co. in Mishawaka, Ind.

Schroeder received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He is Chairman of the Board at Justrite Manufacturing and also sits on the Board of Digi-Star Holdings, Inc., both of which are current Baird Capital Partners portfolio companies. He previously served on the Board of the National Association of Manufacturers.

The addition of Schroeder is the latest development in an active 18 months for Baird Private Equity. Over that time period, the group has made 19 new investments and completed six exits in the U.S., Europe and Asia. New Wisconsin investments include Digi-Star Holdings Inc.,  Montage Talent and Zurex Pharma.
