PRESS RELEASE
Scientific Revenue is pleased to announce the closing of Scientific Revenue’s first round of institutional financing. The $2.5M round was led by Walden Venture Capital and included a syndicate of strategic investors.
Scientific Revenue’s mission is to help game developers and publishers increase revenue by improving the yield of paying customers. Scientific Revenue was founded in 2013 by Bill Grosso, the former CTO of Live Gamer, a leader in in-game payment infrastructure, along with a coterie of experts in finance and gaming.
“Bill and the founding team have a powerful and high value technology to help game developers and publishers make more money without having to introduce in-game changes or bombarding the user with advertisements” said Larry Marcus, Managing Director at Walden Venture Capital, who has also joined the Company’s Board. “The team recognizes that in this new era of gaming, time to market and the need to focus on gameplay create the opportunity to work with specialized third parties who can create leverage for their developers.”
“The rise of in-app purchases and the switch to tablet-like devices has created enormous opportunities for revenue optimization” said Bill Grosso, CEO of Scientific Revenue. “We’re tremendously excited by the opportunity, and we’re thrilled to be working with Walden Venture Capital– the team at Walden just ‘got it’ instantly, and are great partners to work with.”
