PRESS RELEASE
Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests in promising middle market companies, today announced it has added a seasoned business development professional, Brian Davis, to lead and continue building its new investment sourcing efforts. Mr. Davis will oversee the coverage of investment banks and other advisory firms, as well as manage the direct sourcing efforts of the firm.
Before joining Sentinel, he was a partner and managing director at McColl Partners, a middle market investment banking firm. At McColl, Mr. Davis ran both the business development and financial sponsors groups, and led the creation of a direct sourcing model focused on private companies. Previously, he worked at DeWolff, Boberg & Associates, a management consulting firm that provides operational improvement services to private equity and commercial clients globally. As a managing director and member of DeWolff’s board of directors, Mr. Davis ran its business development and private equity groups. He began his career at Dun & Bradstreet, where he served as a director of its Financial Services Practice. Mr. Davis holds a BA degree from Furman University.
“Brian’s ability to create and lead business development organizations at other leading professional services firms was very attractive to us as we continue to build our deal sourcing capabilities,” said David Lobel, founder and managing partner of Sentinel. “We remain focused on strengthening our relationships with deal intermediary firms throughout the United States and Canada and intend for new business development to become a competitive differentiator for Sentinel. We believe Brian’s leadership experiences during the past two decades will help us achieve these objectives.”
