Seyfarth Shaw Adds Matthew Hafter

Seyfarth Shaw has added partner Matthew Hafter to the firm’s Chicago office. Hafter joins from Grippo & Elden. In his new role, Hafter will focus across a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, public and private securities offerings, and secured lending, the firm said in a statement.

Hafter’s practice encompasses a broad spectrum of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, public and private securities offerings, and secured lending. He also brings a wealth of experience in the securities compliance and corporate governance arenas.

Hafter received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to the Illinois state bar as well as the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
