SFW Capital Partners has recapitalized for the second time its portfolio company AGDATA, which provides strategic data and analytical solutions to agricultural inputs and animal health manufacturers. The proceeds of the recap, as a result of increasing the company’s term loan, were used to fund a cash distribution to shareholders.

SFW Capital Partners (“SFW”) announced today that its investment, AGDATA (“AGDATA” or the “Company”), completed its second successful recapitalization. The proceeds of the recapitalization, as a result of an upsizing of the Company’s term loan, were used to fund a significant cash distribution to stockholders.

Following the recapitalization, AGDATA remains conservatively capitalized and has the continued support of SFW, its majority shareholder, to actively pursue further strategic growth initiatives. SFW acquired AGDATA from its original founder through a newly formed affiliate in late 2009.

In August 2011, AGDATA completed its first recapitalization, the proceeds of which were used to fund an initial distribution to stockholders. As a result of the two recapitalizations, AGDATA has distributed an amount equal to 70% of the original equity invested in the Company.
