Signal Hill announces several promotions

Signal Hill LLC has promoted David J. Dolan III and Matthew J. Fiore to managing directors. Also, the M&A advisor has named Michael J. Kremen and Nigel B. Tse as directors while Nishant Malhotra and Arun Thathachari have been promoted to director and vice president, respectively. The promotions became effective January 1.

Fiore have been named Managing Directors of the Firm. In addition, Michael J. Kremen and Nigel B. Tse have been named Directors. Nishant Malhotra and Arun Thathachari have been promoted to Director and Vice President, respectively, of Signal Hill’s India affiliate, Signal Hill Capital Advisory India Private Ltd (“Signal Hill India”). All promotions were effective January 1, 2016.

David J. Dolan III, Managing Director, Software

Mr. Dolan has 10 years of investment banking and M&A advisory experience and focuses on enterprise software companies in the middle market, specifically mobility and connectivity focused businesses in the transportation, logistics, and supply chain sectors. Key transactions at Signal Hill include ALK Technologies’ Acquisition by Trimble, Prometheus Group’s Recapitalization by TA Associates, Loftware’s Acquisition by Riverside Partners, and FieldOne’s Acquisition by Microsoft. He holds an MBA from Fordham University and a B.S. from George Mason University.

Matt Fiore, Managing Director, Software and Services

Mr. Fiore has more than 15 years of investment banking and corporate development experience and concentrates on IT security and services sectors. His notable transactions at Signal Hill include Equinix’s Acquisition of Nimbo, FireMon’s Recapitalization by Insight Venture Partners, NTT’s Acquisition of Solutionary, and the Acquisition of Catapult Systems by ChinaSoft. He holds a B.S. from Villanova University.

Michael Kremen, Director, Services
Mr. Kremen has more than 10 years of investment banking experience and focuses on education services and media. Mr. Kremen holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School and a B.S. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Nigel Tse, Director, Software
Mr. Tse has more than 12 years of investment banking experience and focuses on clients primarily in the enterprise software/SaaS market. He has a B.S. from Stanford University.

Nishant Malhotra, Director
Mr. Malhotra brings more than 10 years of experience in financial services, technology, and private equity to Signal Hill. He earned an MBA from The Wharton School and a B.A. from Brandeis University.

Arun Thathachari, Vice President
Mr. Thathachari has more than 8 years of experience in investment banking, financial services, and consulting and focuses on clients in technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector. He holds an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business, an M.S.E. from the University of Michigan, and a B.E. from the University of Madras.
