Canadian mid-market private equity firm Signal Hill Equity Partners has expanded the Calgary office it opened in May 2013 with the hire of Brent Bieber. Bieber, who previously worked in the investment banking groups of Paradigm Capital and CIBC World Markets, will assume the position of vice president of business development. In this role, he will will focus on identifying and evaluating potential investments for the firm in Western Canada.

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwired – Jan. 7, 2014) – Signal Hill Equity Partners (“Signal Hill”) is pleased to announce the addition of Brent Bieber to its investment team of professionals.
Brent has joined Signal Hill in its Calgary office as Vice President of Business Development and will focus on identifying and evaluating potential investments within Western Canada. Prior to joining Signal Hill, Brent worked in the investment banking groups of Paradigm Capital and CIBC World Markets where he spent over six years working with companies operating in the energy sector.
Brent holds an M.B.A. (Ivey Scholar) from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Management degree (with Great Distinction) from the University of Lethbridge.
