Toronto-based mid-market private equity firm Signal Hill Equity Partners said Thursday that it has named Roy A. Sutterfield as CEO of portfolio company Romet Limited. Prior to joining Romet, Sutterfield served as president of Elster‘s North American gas businesses. Based in Mississauga, Ontario, Romet is a manufacturer of rotary gas meters for the gas utilities industry.

Signal Hill Equity Partners (“Signal Hill”) announced today the appointment of Roy A. Sutterfield as the Chief Executive Officer of Romet Limited.
Founded in 1972, Romet is an international market leader in positive displacement rotary gas meters, electronic volume and temperature instrumentation and auxiliary equipment for the natural gas industry, acquired by Signal Hill in June of this year.
Sutterfield brings to Romet more than 30 years of experience in senior executive and management roles with other prominent manufacturers and distributors serving the utility sector. Most recently, Sutterfield served as President for Elster’s North American Gas businesses.
