Kevin Smith has joined The Silverfern Group as a managing director. He previously was with Wachovia Securities as head of Diversified Industrials and Business Services banking.
The Silverfern Group, Inc. announced today that it has continued the expansion of its senior merchant banking team with the addition of Kevin Smith, the former Group Head of Diversified Industrials and Business Services banking at Wachovia Securities.
Kevin brings over 15 years of Mergers & Acquisitions and corporate finance experience to the Silverfern team. Over the course of his career Kevin has provided financial advice to a wide range of both public and private companies in the diversified industrial and business services sectors. Kevin’s key sub-sectors of expertise include capital goods, flow control, industrial technology, and energy services, as well as having experience in the industrial and consumer services sectors.
Prior to joining Silverfern, Kevin spent four years at Wachovia Securities as Group Head of the Diversified Industrials and Business Services team within Wachovia’s investment banking group. Kevin completed a broad array of transactions on Wachovia’s universal banking platform, specializing in leveraged buyouts and capital raising for growth initiatives and acquisitions. Prior to Wachovia, Kevin spent twelve years at JP Morgan Chase in the diversified industrial group where he advised and financed large-cap multi-national corporations.
Based in New York, Kevin leads Silverfern’s Diversified Industrial merchant banking business.
