Siris taps Vignone as investment principal

Prosper Vignone has joined Siris, a private equity firm focused on technology and telecommunications companies, an investment principal.

Most recently, Vignone served as vice president and head of business development for IBM Global Markets. Prior to joining IBM Global Markets in 2019, Vignone led business development across IBM’s Cognitive Solutions segment and its public cloud business. Earlier in his career, Vignone was IBM’s vice president, M&A strategy, investments, and operations overseeing global M&A strategy, M&A transaction execution, and VC activities.

Vignone has a bachelor of science degree in in accounting from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Based in New York and Silicon Valley, Siris has raised nearly $6 billion in cumulative capital commitments, according to the firm.
