David Martin has joined Skyera Inc., a provider of enterprise solid-state storage systems, where he will focus on corporate and business development. Previously, Martin served as the CEO In Residence at Warburg Pincus. He has also worked as CEO of startup companies Qlusters and Entegrity Solutions.

Skyera Inc., founded by an executive and engineering team with unsurpassed backgrounds in the solid-state, storage and networking arenas, today announced that David Martin, a highly experienced and successful technology executive and advisor, has joined the company, responsible for Corporate and Business Development.
Martin has more than 30 years of experience leading technology companies with a background focused on providing mission-critical enterprise systems. Previously, he served as the CEO, In Residence at Warburg Pincus LLC, a global venture capital and private equity firm with more than $35 billion under management, where he focused on select technology portfolio companies and new investments. He has also served as the CEO of startup companies Qlusters, a utility computing software company, and Entegrity Solutions, a security software company.
Martin’s prior leadership positions include CEO and owner of CEO Associates; Executive Vice President for Information Systems and member of the Board of National Semiconductor Corporation; and CEO of National Advanced Systems, now Hitachi Data Systems. He started Advanced Memory Systems, now Intersil, which went public and was then acquired by GE. Martin began his career at IBM.

Martin is a current or former member of the boards of directors of Microcomputer Systems, National Semiconductor, NAS (HDS), DataFile, Edge Software, Entegrity and Qlusters. He was also on the Board of the Computer and Communications Industry Association (CCIA). Mr. Martin received a BSE degree from Princeton University.
