SolarWinds Inc, a U.S. provider of information technology management software to businesses, is in talks with private equity firms about potentially selling itself, according to people familiar with the matter.
SolarWinds, which has a market capitalization of $3.2 billion, is having conversations with several private equity firms about a possible leveraged buyout, the people said this week. There is no certainty that the talks will progress, and the company may decide not to sell itself, the people added.
The sources asked not to be identified because the deliberations are confidential. SolarWinds did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
