Sphere Capital Holding has led a $2 million Series A funding round in DreamsCloud, which the company will use to further expand its platform, mobile app and hire additional engineers and developers. DreamsCloud was founded in 2010 and gives users a platform to collect, analyze, record and share their dreams through tools like an online dream journal and access to professional dream analysis.
DreamsCloud, the world’s leading online dream resource, today announces it has raised $2 million in Series A funding. The funds will be used to continue development of the DreamsCloud platform and the recently released DreamSphere mobile app, make additional engineering and developer hires, and grow and expand the company’s reach via additional marketing efforts. The round represents DreamsCloud’s first external funding round, and was led by Sphere Capital Holding, part of the original first round investors in CareCloud and Canvas.
“Over the past few years we’ve seen enormous public interest in recording and having conversations about understanding dreams – in fact, our dreams database now hosts more than 1.8 million dreams from around the world,” said Jean-Marc Emden, chief visionary officer and co-founder, DreamsCloud. “We’re excited to have trail blazed the concept of dream journaling, reflection and sharing online, and our mobile app signals our commitment to continue to innovate around dreams. This funding round positions us to expand our DreamsCloud and DreamSphere platforms, giving our users more opportunities to track, reflect on and socialize their dreams – especially as dreams become a better understood indicator of overall health and wellness.”
