SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. said Tuesday it has agreed to buy Citigroup’s Alternative Investor Services business for $425 million. The deal includes Hedge Fund Services and Private Equity Fund Services. Citi put its hedge fund administration unit up for sale in May. The unit provides fund administration, middle office, custody, investing and financing services.
WINDSOR, CT, August 18, 2015 – SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (“SS&C”) (Nasdaq:SSNC), a leading global provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, today announced the acquisition of Citigroup’s Alternative Investor Services business, which includes Hedge Fund Services and Private Equity Fund Services, for $425 million, subject to certain adjustments.

The transaction is subject to approvals by relevant regulatory authorities and other customary closing conditions. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016.
