Stone Point Capital to buy insurance administration services unit from Univita

Home-based care management provider Univita Health has agreed to sell its insurance administration services division to Stone Point Capital. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, Univita has hired Michael A. Muchnicki as CEO.


EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Univita Health, the innovator in providing home-based care management, today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Insurance Administration Services division to Stone Point Capital, a financial services private equity firm. Terms were not disclosed. In addition, the company announced the appointment of Michael A. Muchnicki as Chief Executive Officer.

Univita provides over 1.5 million in-home transition, skilled home care and therapy visits annually. In addition, Univita’s national team of nurse practitioners and registered nurses performed over 450,000 in-home and telephonic assessments in the last year.
