Storm Seals $56M in Commitments for Fund IV

Menlo Park, Calif.-based Storm Ventures has sealed at least $56.4 million in commitments for its fourth fund, Storm Ventures Fund IV L.P., according to a regulatory filing.

Storm Ventures, formed in 1997, focuses on seed and early stage investments in IT companies. Through its three previous funds, Storm has raised more than $500 million. The firm’s third fund closed in March 2005 with $220 million. In a recent exit, Adobe in July bought EchoSign, a maker of electronic signatures and signature automation technology that raised at least $8 million from Storm and Emergence Capital Partners.
