Sun Capital Partners has acquired certain assets of 3D Entertainment Group Ltd., a UK-based operator of late night bars targeting the 25 to 40 year old market. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which was done via a prepackaged bankruptcy.

We are pleased to announce that an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, Inc. has acquired certain assets of 3D Entertainment Group Limited (“3DE”) through a pre-packaged administration, a UK bankruptcy process.
The new group, named Atmosphere Bars and Clubs Limited (“Atmosphere”) is one the UK’s leading operators of late night bars targeting the 25 to 40 year old market. Atmosphere sites are located in medium to large towns throughout England and Wales and the Company’s main objective is to ensure that its customers enjoy the ultimate party atmosphere when they visit.
Atmosphere, headquartered in Milton Keynes, UK, operates 31 sites, 21 of which trade under the Chicago Rock Café brand name and employs over 800 people.
