Sun Capital Partners said Thursday that it has closed its buy of Alexon Group via a UK bankruptcy process. Alexon, of Luton, England, is a women’s clothing retailer that focuses mainly on the mature female and lifestyle demographic.
We are pleased to announce that an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, Inc., has acquired certain assets of Alexon Group Plc. (“Alexon”) through a pre-packaged administration, a UK bankruptcy process. The purchase price was bridged by an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, Inc.
Alexon is a women’s clothing retailer focused predominantly on the mature female and lifestyle demographic, with seven distinct and historic brands: Alexon; Eastex; Dash; Kaliko; Ann Harvey; Minuet Petite; and Lazy Lu.
Alexon, headquartered in Luton, England, operates from approximately 1,050 owned outlets and concessions in the UK and Europe, employing approximately 2,700 staff. Alexon is expected to be renamed Irisa Group.
