TA Associates Names Dhiraj Poddar a Director of TA Associates Advisory Pvt. Ltd.

TA Associates named Dhiraj Poddar as a director of TA Associates Advisory Pvt. Ltd. He will work from the Mumbai office and will focus on investments in growth companies in India and other emerging markets. He was previously a director at Standard Chartered Private Equity.

TA Associates, a leading growth private equity firm, today announced that Dhiraj Poddar has joined the Mumbai office of TA Associates Advisory Pvt. Ltd. as a Director. Mr. Poddar will focus on investments in growth companies in India and other emerging markets.

Dhiraj Poddar joins TA from Standard Chartered Private Equity, where he served as a Director, responsible for origination and evaluation of investment opportunities, leading investments, managing portfolio companies and handling exits. Previously, he was a Senior Manager at Infosys BPO Ltd., working with investment banking clients to build the knowledge services business unit. Mr. Poddar also served as an Assistant Vice President, Corporate Finance at ICICI Securities Ltd., and held positions at GHCL and Bharti Televentures Ltd. He holds a degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
