Job training platform Initiafy picks up $1.5 mln seed

Dublin and New York-based Initiafy, a job training platform for contractors and short-term workers, has secured $1.5 million in seed funding. The investors included Delta Partners Group and ACT Venture Capital. Initiafy was formerly known as Induction Manager in the EMEA and Orientation Manager in the U.S.


Red Hat to acquire VC-backed FeedHenry

Red Hat has agreed to buy FeedHenry, an enterprise mobile application platform provider, for about 63.5 million euros in cash. FeedHenry’s backers include Intel Capital, ACT Venture Capital, Kernel Capital, VMware and Enterprise Ireland.


Digit Game Studios Closes Series A Round

Irish games developer Digit Game Studios has closed a US$2.5 million Series A funding. Delta Partners invested US$2.1 million from its Delta Equity Fund III Limited Partnership, with the remainder of the funds provided by the other existing investor ACT Venture Capital.


Irish Startup Cappella Seals $14.6 Million

Galway-based medical device company Cappella has raised 10.5 million Euro ($14.6 million) in Series D financing from Polytechnos Partners, ACT Venture Capital, Fountain Healthcare Partners and Mitsui & Co. Venture Partners. Kreos Capital Limited and Silicon Valley Bank provided debt financing for Cappella, which develops stent technology to treat vascular disease.
