Consumer 3D printing company New Matter has secured $6.5 million in Series A Funding. Alsop Louie Partners led the round with other investors that included Arden Road Investments, Biotechonomy, Dolby Family Ventures, First Round Capital, Idealab and frogVentures.

Cubic Defense Applications adds VC Louie to board

Cubic Defense Applications, which provides combat training systems and secure communications, has appointed Gilman Louie to its defense executive advisory board. Louie is a partner at Alsop Louie Partners. He is also the founder and former CEO of In-Q-Tel.

Lookingglass Cyber Solutions said Monday that it has raised $5 million in funding. The Series A round was led by Alsop Louie Partners while Vital Financial also participated. Lookingglass, of Baltimore, Md., is a security software company.

Framehawk Adds $11M Series B

Framehawk Inc. has raised $11 million in Series B financing from Matrix Partners and undisclosed existing investors, the company announced Tuesday. The “stealth-mode” company says it is focused on enterprise mobility software. Framehawk previously raised $5.5 million from Alsop Louie Partners, Correlation Ventures and Triangle Peak Partners.

VC-Backed Phizzle Adds to Board

Phizzle, a San Francisco-based mobile marketing technology company, has named Jim Whims, partner at venture firm Alsop Louie Partners; Rich Geruson, president and chief executive of Phoenix Technologies; and Mark Krentzman, entrepreneur and member of the Board of Trustees at the Norman Rockwell Museum, to its board. In July, Phizzle announced that it had raised $3 million from Alsop Louie Partners.
