Metamorphic backs travel search engine Wanderu

Wanderu has raised $5.6 million in Series A funding led by Metamorphic VenturesAlta Ventures also joined the round, which included 500 Startups, Barbara Corcoran Venture Partners, and individual investors Craig Lentzsch (former CEO of Greyhound), John Balen (general partner at Canaan Partners) and Brad Feld (managing director at Foundry Group), among others. The Boston-based company previously raised a $2.4 million round led by Alta Ventures. Wanderu, which targets Millennials, provides travel search engine services for bus and train rides.


Technisys nets $13 mln Series B

Digital banking firm Technisys has closed $13 million in Series B funding. The investors were Intel Capital, Alta Ventures, KaSZeK Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst and Holdinvest. According to the firm, the capital will be used for expansion in LATAM and the U.S. as well as product development.


VidAngel grabs $600K

VidAngel said Friday that it has closed $600,000 in seed funding. The investors were Alta Ventures, Kickstart Seed Fund and Stonewall Capital. Based in Palo Alto, Calif., VidAngel is a website and app that lets users stream movies and watch YouTube.
