Online women’s closet LE TOTE picks up $8.8 mln

San Francisco-based LE TOTE, an online closet for women to borrow clothing, has secured $8.8 million in Series A funding. Azure Capital Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Simon Venture Group, AITV, Epic Ventures, Arsenal Venture Partners and Funders Club.


General Catalyst Partners backs PumpUp

PumpUp said Thursday that it has raised $2.4 million in funding. General Catalyst Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Azure Capital Partners, Relay Ventures and Freycinet Investments. PumpUp is a social network for people interested in a healthy, active lifestyle.


DCM leads $10 mln round for Yik Yak

Yik Yak, a hyper-local community building app, said Monday that it has closed $10 million in funding. DCM led the round with participation from Azure Capital Partners, Renren and Tim Draper. Concurrent with the funding, Yik Yak has named Alan Masarek, co-founder and former CEO of Quickoffice and David Chao of DCM, to its board.


Bouqs Company raises $6M from Azure, KEC

The Bouqs Company said raised $6 million of Series A financing in a deal led by Azure Capital Partners and joined by KEC Ventures. The funding will be used to accelerate growth by expanding staff, offering delivery outside the US, and scaling the company’s technology and infrastructure to keep pace with demand.


Online flower delivery company TheBouqs.com bags $6 mln

TheBouqs.com said Thursday that it has closed $6 million in Series A funding. Azure Capital Partners led the round with participation from KEC Ventures. In addition to the funding, Paul Ferris, a general partner at Azure Capital Partners, has been added to the firm’s board. Based in Marina Del Ray, Calif., TheBouqs.com is an online flower delivery service.


Reuters – SilkRoad Selects Banks for IPO

Human resources software company SilkRoad has selected JPMorgan Chase & Co and Piper Jaffray Cos to lead an initial public offering later this year, writes Reuters. Founded by serial entrepreneur Flip Filipowski in 2003, the company’s investors include Azure Capital Partners, Tenaya Capital and Foundation Capital.

StarVest Partners Leads $15 Mln Round for Switchfly

Switchfly has secured $15 million in Series C financing led by StarVest Partners. Azure Capital Partners and Canaan Partners also participated. Cyan Optics Seals $10M – Filing

Petaluma, Calif.-based Cyan Optics Inc., a provider of metro and regional aggregation and transport of packet and optical services, has raised $10 million in fresh capital, according to a regulatory filing. Investors include Azure Capital Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Tenaya Capital. According to the filing, the infusion was a Series F round. Formed in 2006, the company has reportedly raised upwards of $30 million in previous rounds.

ezREZ Acquires Topguest

Venture-backed ezRez Software, a software-as-a-service provider of travel, loyalty and payment solutions, has acquired Topguest, a start-up company providing loyalty and social network engagement products to travel companies. Cooking.com has inked $13.5 million in financing from BIA Digital Partners II L.P. and Azure Capital Partners. Damien Dovi, a partner at BIA, joined the company’s board as an observer. Cooking.com is based in Marina del Ray, Calif.

Coraid Adds $50M in New Funding

Redwood City, Calif.-based Coraid Inc. has added $50 million in a new round led by Crosslink Capital. Existing investors Menlo Ventures, Allegis Capital, Azure Capital Partners and affiliates of Silver Lake, as well as new investors Seagate Technology and Kinetic Ventures also contributed. Coraid is a developer of Ethernet SAN technology.
