Virtual Incision picks up $11.2 mln

Lincoln, Nebraska and Pleasanton, California-based Virtual Incision Corp, a medical device company, has secured $11.2 million in funding. Bluestem Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included PrairieGold Venture Partners.

Invest Nebraska Backs Virtual Incision

Invest Nebraska Corporation has closed financing in Virtual Incision, a Nebraska medical device company. The investment was completed with Prairie Gold Venture Partners and Bluestem Capital, both of Sioux Falls, SD. Terms of the investment have not been disclosed.

Virtual Incision Raises $2 Million Series A Financing

Lincoln, Nebraska-based Virtual Incision has raised $2 million in venture capital financing led PrairieGold Venture Partners and Bluestem Capital. Formed by two University of Nebraska professors, Virtual Inciscion develops robotic surgical devices for use in laparoscopic surgery. The company will use the first round of financing to develop prototypes of its technology. PrarieGold Venture Partners and Bluestem Capital are based in Sioux Falls, S.D.
