IBM acquires Momentum Equity-backed Meteorix

IBM has acquired Meteorix, a provider of workday implementation, optimization and integration services for mid-market companies. No financial terms were disclosed. Clearsight Advisors advised Meteorix on the transaction. Meteorix was backed by Momentum Equity Partners.


NeoSystems fetches $15 mln

NeoSystems Corp. said Monday that it has secured $15 million in funding. OFS Capital led the round. Clearsight Advisors advised NeoSystems on the transaction. Also, Peter Rothschild, managing director at OFS Capital, was named to NeoSystems’ board of directors. Based in Tysons Corner, Virginia, NeoSystems is a provider of outsourced accounting, cloud-based hosting, system consulting and other back office services.


PE-backed Truven Health Analytics acquires Simpler Consulting

Truven Health Analytics, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, said Monday that it has acquired Simpler Consulting. No financial terms were disclosed. Clearsight Advisors advised Simpler on the deal. Simpler Consulting is a global management consulting firm.

Gretchen Guandolo has joined Clearsight Advisors as a partner and MD. She will focus on IT services, software, public sector technology and SaaS businesses. Most recently, she was a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Public Sector Financial Services Group, where she led the firm’s Federal Transactions group.

Ex-Houlihan Bankers Launch Firm to Target Technology & Services Companies in D.C.

A team of ex-Houlihan Lokey bankers have started their own firm to advise growth companies in the Washington D.C. area.

The executives, all from Houlihan’s business services group, formed Clearsight Advisors in July, says Joel Kallett, who is the firm’s co-founder and MD. Kallett is joined at Clearsight by Greg Treger, also a co-founder and MD; Bhavin Patel, a vice president; and, Bethany Seidler, director of administration.

Clearsight, based in McLean, Va., will target growth companies in technology and services with $25 million to $200 million in enterprise value, says Kallett.

Four Ex-Houlihan Execs Launch Clearsight Advisors

Four former executives of Houlihan Lokey have formed Clearsight Advisors, a McLean, Va.-based merchant bank focused on business services and technology. Clearsight execs include: Joel Kallett, co-founder and MD, Greg Treger, also a co-founder and MD; Bhavin Patel, SVP; and, Bethany Seidler, who is director of administration for the new firm.
