RockYou picks up $23 mln

San Francisco-based interactive media company RockYou has secured $23 million in funding. Columbia Capital led the round.


Araxid nets $12.5 mln Series A

McLean, Virginia-based personal data company Araxid Prime Inc has closed $12.5 million in Series A funding. Bessemer Venture Partners and Columbia Capital led the round. In conjunction with the funding, Kent Bennett of BVP and Arun Gupta of Columbia Capital have been added to Araxid’s board.


Endgame scores $30 mln Series C

Endgame, a provider of security intelligence and analytics solutions for large businesses, has secured $30 million in Series C financing. The investors were Bessemer Venture Partners, Paladin Capital Group, Columbia Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Edgemore Capital, Top Tier Capital Partners and Savano Capital Partners.


2nd Watch grabs $10 mln

2nd Watch has secured $10 million in funding. Top Tier Capital Partners led the round with participation from previous backers Madrona Venture Group and Columbia Capital. The company has also named Doug Schneider as CEO. He will be succeeding 2nd Watch founder Kris Bliesner who will continue as CTO. Headquartered in Seattle, 2nd Watch builds, deploys and manages Amazon Web Services-based IT operations for enterprise customers.


Netuitive secures $6.5 mln funding

Netuitive, a provider of IT analytics, has secured an additional $6.5 million in equity financing. The financing was led by MK Capital and Rembrandt Venture Partners. Cross Creek Advisors and Columbia Capital also participated.


NextNav snags $70 mln Series D

NextNav has secured $70 million in Series D financing. New Enterprise Associates and Oak Investment Partners led the round with participation from Columbia Capital, Telcom Ventures and Goldman Sachs Investment Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Peter Barris, managing general partner at NEA, and Bandel Carano, managing partner at Oak, have been named to NextNav’s board of directors. Based in Sunnyvale, Calif. and McLean, VA, NextNav is a provider of location solutions for indoor and urban environments.


Zayo Group files for IPO – Reuters

Fiber network company Zayo Group Holdings filed with U.S. regulators to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering, writes Reuters. Zayo is backed by GTCR, Oak Investment Partners, M/C Partners, Columbia Capital and Charlesbank Capital Partners.


GTS sold to Deutsche Telekom

GTS has been sold to Deutsche Telekom for 546 million euros. GTS is an infrastructure-based telecommunications service provider in South East and Eastern Europe. It is currently owned by a consortium of international private equity firms including Bessemer Venture Partners, Columbia Capital, HarbourVest Partners, Innova Capital, MC Partners and Oak Investment Partners.

ORIX Ventures and Columbia Capital backs SummitIG

SummitIG has received an undisclosed amount of financing from ORIX Ventures and Columbia Capital. According to the company, the capital will be used for expansion. Headquartered in Dulles, Virginia, SummitIG is a custom network solutions and bandwidth infrastructure provider.

Endgame Closes Series B Led by Paladin Capital

Endgame, a provider of battle-tested cyber security solutions, has closed a $23 million Series B equity financing. Led by new investor Paladin Capital Group, the Series B includes participation from existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Columbia Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers and TechOperators.

Columbia Capital Leads IntelliBatt Investment Round

Columbia Capital has led a $22 million investment in IntelliBatt. CBC-Capital, private investors, and incoming executives also participated. Virtustream, an enterprise cloud solution provider, has secured an additional $15 million in funding, bringing the total venture capital raised to $75 million.
