Mueller Water Products Sells U.S. Pipe to Wynnchurch Capital

Comvest Group Lands $580M Fund

The Comvest Group, the Florida-based private equity firm, beat its $500 million target for its fourth fund, nabbing $580 million for Comvest Investment Partners IV. The capital commitments in Comvest IV are from a diverse group of institutional investors, including U.S. state and city pension plans, insurance companies, college endowments, European government pension plans, and global private equity funds of funds.

Comvest Provides $20M Debt to Merchant Cash

The Comvest Group has provided $20 million in debt financing to lender Merchant Cash and Capital. The funding will allow Merchant to expand its business, creating new programs. Merchant is based in New York.

Comvest Strikes $15M Financing Deal

Comvest Capital II, the debt fund affiliated with the Comvest Group, will provide $15 million in debt and equity financing to Integrated Oncology Network LLC. The company is acquiring a minority interest in Vicura, a radiation oncology center with locations in Southern California.

Comvest Backs Multi-bank with $20M in Debt Financing

The Comvest Group, via its Comvest Capital II debt fund, said that is has provided a $20 million in a subordinated term loan to Multi-bank Securities Inc. Multi-bank is an institutional fixed-income securities broker-dealer.

PE-Backed Vesdia Corporation Merges with Cartera

Vesdia Corp., which is backed by the Comvest Group, has merged with Cartera Commerce, a provider of marketing and merchant-funded rewards programs. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Comvest acquired a majority interest in Vesdia in December 2009. The combined company will retain the Cartera Commerce brand and will be headquartered in Lexington, Mass.

John Caple Joins Comvest Group

John Caple has joined Comvest Group as a managing director in the firm’s West Palm Beach office, according to an email recently sent out to freinds and colleagues. He previously was a principal with H.I.G. Capital.

Velocity Express Files for Bankruptcy

(Reuters) – Package delivery company Velocity Express Corp (VEXP.PK) and 12 of its affiliates filed for Chapter 11 protection in a Delaware court on Thursday, court filings showed.
