CrowdStreet fetches $800K

Real estate crowdfunding marketplace CrowdStreet said Tuesday that it has secured $800,000 in seed funding. Green Visor Capital and Seven Peaks Ventures led the round with participation from Portland Seed Fund. In addition to the funding, Dino Vendetti, general partner at Seven Peaks Ventures, and Simon Yoo, managing partner at Green Visor Capital, have been added to the firm’s board of directors. Also, CrowdStreet has hired Ian Formigle as vice president of Investments and Steve Drew as vice president of product and marketing.


Steadfast Venture Capital leads $1 mln round for Crowdability

Crowdability has raised $1 million in funding in a round led by Steadfast Venture Capital, the firm confirmed in a post on its site. Based in New York City, Crowdability is a research and education platform focused on equity crowdfunding. To read the announcement, visit here.


SeedInvest attracts $4.15 mln Series A

New York City-based equity crowdfunding platform SeedInvest has closed $4.15 million in Series A funding. According to the firm, the first $2 million in this round was raised from venture firms that included Scout Ventures, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Avenue A Ventures and Krillion Ventures. The remaining $2.15 million was raised from 42 angel investors through the SeedInvest platform.


Branson and Levchin back crowdfunding platform Indiegogo

San Francisco-based crowdfunding platform Indiegogo said Tuesday that it has secured new undisclosed funding from investors that include Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson and Affirm CEO Max Levchin. Other investors include Dan Benton, CEO of Andor Capital Management and Tim Draper, founding partner at Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Indiegogo is backed by Institutional Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Insight Venture Partners, MHS Capital, Metamorphic Ventures and ff Venture Capital.

OurCrowd nets $25 mln Series B funds

OurCrowd, an Israeli equity crowdfunding platform for accredited investors, said Monday that it has secured $25 million in Series B funding. The investors in this round were not named.


Crowdfunding platform SeedInvest nets $2 mln

New York City-based equity crowdfunding platform SeedInvest has raised $2 million in a targeted $3 million Series A round. The investors include Scout Ventures, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Avenue A Ventures, Krillion Ventures and Archer Gray. In conjunction with the funding, Bradley Harrison, a managing partner at Scout Ventures, has been added to SeedInvest’s board of directors.
