Liqid Inc, a data startup currently in stealth mode, has raised $5.7 million in seed funding. The backers were Kingston Technology, Phison Electronics Corporation, ABR Capital Management and DH Capital.

ABRY Partners to sell Xand to TierPoint

TierPoint has agreed to buy Xand from ABRY Partners. Financial terms weren’t announced. Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is also investing. Xand provides colocation, cloud, disaster recovery, and managed services with six data centers in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. RBC Capital Markets and Credit Suisse are providing debt financing. DH Capital provided financial advice to ABRY/Xand.

DH Capital has arranged a $2.45 million Series A1 funding in Observable Networks, which provides network security technology and advanced threat detection notice. Observable Networks received additional institutional backing from Vectis II fund, a prior investor of which Stifel, Nicolaus & Company is the general partner. Including the A1 funding, Observable Networks has raised more than $4 million.
